Aggravated NH DWI Charges
New Hampshire allows for aggravated DWI charges to be filed against any person that:
- Has a blood alcohol level in excess of .16
- Has a child under the age of 16 in the car while drunk driving
- There has been serious bodily injury caused in a DWI accident
Being arrested on suspicion of aggravated DWI is a serious offense that carries enhanced penalties if convicted. These drunk- driving penalties could include one or more of the following:
- Jail time
- A criminal record
- Large court fines
- Long term NH license suspension
- An increase in insurance costs
- A mandatory alcohol program
